Just a list of what new things have been added to PB Pro since it was launched at version 0.8 in July 2007 (wow how time flies!)
At 0.8 we had:
Manual throttle calibration to overcome <3F throttles,
Advanced and basic modes of operation
Structured menus for setup and races
Better Car ID programming with much less key presses (and logical!) plus using hand controller brake button to initiate programming.
Automatic car detection during the first lap of a race – no more SSD HC ERROR
Car Power Selection - 1/2, 3/4, 7/8 or full power
Track call
Pace cars
3 race modes GRP, Endurance and Pursuit
Upgrades possible via Aux connector
And as a result of all the desires of the user community we have added all of the following:
Spanish language version
AUX in commands enabling a PC to control the powerbase
Additional AUX out data to send powerbase settings to PC
Programmable minimum lap times
Timed disabling of random lane change to prevent pace cars entering into a pit lane
Programmable Track Call delay
User defined throttle maps (requires a PC with PB Pro compatible software) as requested by slotdigital forum
Improved automatic car registration
Enhanced overload setup and detect
New AUX in commands added for dynamic throttle map modification, pace car control, car enable/disable, PC initiated track call
Auto throttle calibrate, initiated by squeezing a throttle trigger after selecting the throttle control menu
Improved throttle setup menus including a throttle test screen
Quick access to car ID by pressing both arrow buttons from any top level menu
Version for Simple H
Lane changers can now be disabled for up to 9 seconds after the start of a race
All numerical information is now displayed in decimal, remember it was all in hexadecimal before 3F etc
Countdown before restarting after a track call as requested on slot forum
PB-Pro website
Analogue drive mode two directions switchable and a two lane analogue option with a relay hardware modification
Added Qualify race mode with limited duration and/or laps
Added Rally race mode
Direct car drive (including lane change and brake) via Aux port to let SSDC and the other Pro enabled PC programs do their magic!
Now you know why the user manual grew from 2 pages to 28......
